About Mike
My wife of 34 years, Lucy, and I are lifelong 'harborites' and have three grown children in the area. We reside on a little 10 acre slice of heaven in Central Park with our chickens, sheep and beef cows. We enjoy growing, processing and preserving, and of course, creating and dining on wholesome foods. I’m a retired agricultural educator. I received my occupational training from Washington State University earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Forest Management.
I believe in resource stewardship and thus I’m a strong advocate for GHCD's mission of conservation and providing technical and financial support to local landowners without the added regulatory burden of government intervention. In addition to the GHCD board, I also serve on the Grays Harbor County Fair board and officiate high school wrestling.
