About Mike
Mike and his wife of 34 years, Lucy, are lifelong 'harborites' and have three grown children in the area. They reside on a little 10 acre slice of heaven in Central Park with their chickens, sheep and beef cows. They enjoy growing, processing and preserving, and of course, creating and dining on wholesome foods. Mike is a retired agricultural educator. He received his occupational training from Washington State University earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Forest Management.
Mike believes in resource stewardship and thus is a strong advocate for GHCD's mission of conservation and providing technical and financial support to local landowners without the added regulatory burden of government intervention. In addition to the GHCD board, he also serves on the Grays Harbor County Fair board and officiates high school wrestling.
