Soil Sampling

Soil sampling is a great way to find out what nutrients are already present in the soil before applying soil amendments. The Grays Harbor Conservation District provides free technical assistance and resources used in soil sampling. The soil sampling process can vary depending on goals and objectives.

Soil Sampling Process

1. Contact GHCD for soil sampling information.

2. Set up a site visit for GHCD to collect samples, otherwise you can take the samples yourself.

3. GHCD will send samples to a soil testing lab on your behalf, or you can send them in yourself.

4. After receiving the test results and an invoice from the lab, GHCD will contact you for further instructions.
